Moskow Explosion: Three Killed in Attack Near Center, Suspect Detained

According to authorities, at least three people were killed and 21 others were injured following an explosion at an Italian restaurant in Moscow. The National Anti-Terror Committee (NAK) reported that a homemade explosive device detonated around 8 p.m. local time (7 p.m. German time) on Kudrinskaya Square, near the city center. The device is believed to have been carried by a woman who attempted to enter the restaurant but was stopped by a security guard. Tragically, the explosion killed the woman, the security guard, and another restaurant visitor. The restaurant, located within one of Moscow’s famous Stalin-era high-rises, was hosting a private party when the incident occurred.
