Leipzig Extends Loan of Brajan Gruda, Securing Attacking Talent for 2026/27 Season

RB Leipzig has extended the loan agreement for Brajan Gruda from Brighton & Hove Albion. The 22-year-old offensive player is confirmed to continue with the Saxony clubs for the 2026/27 season, the Bundesliga side announced on Monday. Gruda joined the German league from the English Premier League club in February 2026, where he has contributed three goals and provided three assists in 14 official matches.

Marcel Schäfer, RB Leipzig’s Sporting Director, expressed his satisfaction with the loan extension. He stated that Gruda has demonstrated his skills during his initial months in Leipzig and fits well with the team’s playing style. Furthermore, the young player brings valuable experience from both the Bundesliga and the Premier League, which will benefit the team as it competes in three tournaments next season.

Gruda himself commented that he is very comfortable at RB Leipzig and that the conditions are optimal for his sporting and personal growth. He looks forward to achieving success with the team in the Champions League, the Bundesliga, and the DFB Cup. Gruda will continue to wear the number 10 for the Leipzig squad.
