In the latest trend poll conducted by the research institute Insa for “Bild am Sonntag”, the AfD is widening its lead among voters. In the so-called “Sunday Trend,” the AfD gained one percentage point, reaching 29% of the vote. Meanwhile, the Union simultaneously dropped one point to 21%, increasing the gap between the two parties to eight percentage points.
Both the SPD and the Green Party saw slight increases, each gaining one point to reach 13%. The Left Party lost one point, settling at 10%. The BSW slipped one point to 3%. Similar to the FDP, which remained stable at 4%, the BSW is currently positioned to fall short of entering the Federal Parliament. All other parties held steady at 7%.
Insa surveyed 1,201 individuals for “Bild am Sonntag” between July 13 and July 17, asking, “If the Bundestag election were next Sunday, how would you vote?”
