Leverkusen Dominates Lech Posen in UEFA Europa League Victory

Bayer 04 Leverkusen secured a decisive 4-0 away victory against the Polish champions, Lech Posen, in the second game day of the Europa League. Manager Carles Martinez’s team held a strong advantage by halftime, thanks to three goals, before Ibrahim Maza sealed the final result late in the game.

The match started evenly, but a penalty decision created the crucial breakthrough. Referee Milos Milanovic awarded a penalty after a handball by Terry Yegbe. Patrik Schick converted the spot-kick in the 29th minute, giving Bayer the 1-0 lead. Shortly after, Malik Tillman doubled the advantage in the 32nd minute, making it 2-0.

Just before the break, Leverkusen was awarded another penalty. Schick stepped up again, finding the net in the 41st minute to extend the lead to 3-0.

During the halftime break, Leverkusen controlled the tempo well, allowing Posen few dangerous opportunities. While the home team tried to increase their offensive pressure, they struggled to break through the opposition defense. Leverkusen also created several clear chances, though some of these opportunities were missed.

The final goal came in the 89th minute. Following a combination play across multiple players, Ibrahim Maza was in the penalty area and finished powerfully into the lower right corner. This 4-0 strike confirmed the clear success of the Rhine team.
