Thousands Rally in Berlin to Cheer US‑Backed Airstrikes on Iran

Several thousand people in Berlin welcomed the Israeli and U.S. airstrikes against Iran during a demonstration.
On Saturday, the crowd gathered for a large protest in the city’s government district to express their enthusiasm for the military action. The demonstrators displayed flags from Iran, Israel, the United States, and also Germany. Among the chants was “The Mullahs must go”. A generally festive atmosphere prevailed, and police said that several hundred officers were on duty to secure the gathering.

Earlier that morning, Israeli and U.S. forces had begun air attacks on Iran. Israel described the strikes as a “pre‑emptive strike” while President Donald Trump urged the Iranian people to push for a regime change. No confirmed information exists about the whereabouts of senior Iranian leaders, especially Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iranian authorities called on citizens to leave Tehran, and reports indicated that there were already multiple civilian casualties.
